Beautiful Covers...and other stories

I was browsing through my Goodreads (to-read) list when I noticed a lot of new covers that I hadn't noticed before. To be honest they may have been there a while and I haven't had the time to check. But I've decided to share a few of them on here. These are some of my faves:

Goddess Interrupted (Goddess Test, #2)

Goddess Interrupted by Aimee Carter:  I love this cover and I love this series! I can't wait for it's release in February 2012. One word for this cover: Stunning.

The Wood Queen (The Iron Witch, #2)

The Wood Queen by Karen Mahoney: This is the second in the series of the Iron Witch books and this cover is just as capitivating as the first in the series. The Wood Queen is set for release February 2012 :-D

The Space Between

The Space Between by Brenna Yovanoff: This really caught my attention because it is so beautifully unique. And the synopsis had my attention even more...everything's made of iron? Awesome!  Brenna is a talented author and I loved The Replacement, this book however, is set for release November 2011. Not long then!

 Vanish (Firelight, #2)

Vanish by Sophie Jordan: Yes, I know everyone else has this on their blogs, but what do you expect? This cover is stunning, I mean really stunning. One of the best works of cover art I have ever seen. I really hope this installment is as good as Firelight, Sophie Jordan's writing is amazing, this is one I can't wait to read and luckily I don't have to wait much longer. Vanish is set for release September 2011.

The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns, #1)

The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson: I hadn't heard of Rae Carson until I stumbled across her on someones blog (regretfully I don't remember who's. and i apologise). This cover is totally fabulous and I loved the synopsis of this book. I can't wait until this is released September this year.

In other news I am also eagerly anticipating the arrival of two books I have ordered:
Immortal War (Vampirates, #6)The Demon's Surrender

Wooooo! I've been waiting for both of these for months and they are finally en-route to my home. So excited!
*Pulls several party poppers and dances around living room like a loony*
Well now that I have that out of my system, Ill wish you all a good evening, good day or good night, depending on what part of the world you live in.

Cheers

  3. My not-so-secret-secret is I am a total cover freak. I've been known to buy a book because of the cover - I think I'm supposed to be embarrassed about that, lol.

Those are gorgeous - I really love that Goddess Interrupted looks so good. The Goddess Test was sort of meh, so it's nice to see that Amy Carter is getting something good from the art department because of its success.

I love the cover for The Girl of Fire and Thorns too - something about the text and color of the title looks really unique to me.

September is going to be a poor month for me. It looks like a couple of dozen books so far that I want, eek!

  4. Your not the only one whose picked up a book because of the cover, I'm a sucker for it :-)
I'm also in the same boat as you where I have months that make me very poor, so far it's been March/April and June this year! So many great books and not enough money :-D
